CEO – Moawiya Al Rawas

With 13 years of experience in banking, Moawiya is now leading the team at Oman-based tech start-up, iON, as Co-founder and CEO.

In his career, he has developed a special interest in the world of e-commerce and the impact of digital technologies on product development. During his banking career, he has worked closely with SMEs and is credited with taking part in several major projects including the launch of Oman’s first FinTech and the first sandbox cohort launched by the Central Bank of Oman.

Moawiya holds a Master of Science in Public Sector Management as well as three years’ research experience in policy-making research, both from Hull University, UK. He also has a Bachelor’s in Management Information Systems from the Arab Academy for Science and Technology, Egypt. .

CTO – Marcin Grzywok

With a 14-year career in the energy, IT, and financial sectors, Marcin is now turning his talents toward entrepreneurship.

 As the Co-founder and CTO of Oman-based tech start-up, iON, he is driving the rapid growth of its first-of-a-kind e-commerce platform. With a wealth of experience and a strong record in sales, marketing ,and quality and project management, his most recent roles include:

·      Implementation Head at Oman’s National Energy Center, with great project implementation of 300.000 IoT-based water meters in Oman with supporting systems.

·       Project Manager for AIUT, one of Europe’s largest system integrators for the automation and robotization industry.

 

Among his professional accomplishments, Marcin was part of the leadership team for several national-level IoT projects including the implementation of the IoT network and systems integration in Oman, the sales and implementation of the first IoT network in Poland, and the implementation of an IoT water meter solution in Portugal.

Marcin holds a master’s degree in Quality Management and a bachelor’s degree in Management and Production Engineering, both from the Silesian University of Technology, Poland. His education is supported by the international Agile PM Management Certificate on the Practitioner level and the Agile Scrum Master certificate.
